You "Berry Recognize" This Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Lipstick!

Let me tell y'all, I didn't think I could love the Wet n Wild brand of lipstick any more than I already did, but they showed up to show out with their MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick! From what I had heard about it, I knew it was supposed to be a good line, but I had never tried it due to my obsession with Maybelline Superstay Matte Lipstick (which I'll definitely review!) at the time. However, if I could go back in time and slap the Maybelline Superstay Matte lipsticks out of my hand and replace them with Wet n Wild's Liquid Catsuit Matte lipsticks, I would happily do it, just to save me a couple bucks alone (literally like a couple bucks - Maybelline's line isn't that expensive, but I like saving all the money I can). But anyways, let me stop rambling and introduce you to my newfound obsession.

Enter Wet n Wild's Berry Recognize:

Now I won't lie, for as cheap as this was (under $5), I was a little skeptical about its transfer-proof abilities. Nevertheless, when I first put it on, I could tell I would love this lipstick. The color was beautiful, pigmented enough that one coat was all I needed to cover my lips (though I did touch it up here and there after the first coat dried because I'm a picky perfectionist). I could tell why they call it "catsuit" because this lipstick clung to my lips instantly, giving them a sexy boost. And it didn't feel heavy on my lips; rather, it almost felt like I had just smoothed air on my lips. One thing I will point out is that I wish I put a little bit more shea butter on my lips first because the dryness was real. Not too bad, but enough to make you want to adjust your lip moisturization levels before applying this lipstick. But, the funny thing was after wearing it for a little while, the dryness disappeared. Or I got used to it. Either way, I was scared that the lipstick would crack when I talked, smiled, or did anything that used my lips, but it stayed on velvety smooth. I was hooked.

Inside lighting.

Now for the transfer-proof part of the review. Almost immediately after it had dried on my lips, my man gave me a kiss, and this time, HE DIDN'T STEAL MY LIPSTICK OFF MY LIPS!!! I'm sorry for yelling; I got hype. I'm so used to my man and I having the same lip color after we kiss that I got too excited about this Wet n Wild Berry Recognize not budging at all. I do have to mention, though, that I did the "kiss the back of your hand" test, and a very tiny bit of the lipstick came off, leaving a faint lip outline on my hand, and when I ate (something greasy), a little of the lipstick came off. Aside from the greasy food, this could have happened because of me applying too much when I touched it up or not giving the first layer enough time to fully dry (usually liquid lipstick has to dry for about 60 seconds a layer) before putting on the second layer. Because when I wore this lipstick again the next day, more carefully applied, I was eating, kissing, drinking juice as usual, and none of my lipstick came off.

Outside lighting. Not too much of a difference in dim light vs. bright light (win. win, win, win, win [Jay Rock voice]).

Yup, definitely getting more Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit lippies and keeping them in my beauty arsenal for life.

So the details:

  • Transfer-proof!!!
    • Be careful eating greasy foods as grease can strip the lipstick

  • A little drying if you don't moisturize your lips a tad bit before application
  • Costs under $5 (at least, at Walmart)
